Has anyone else seen this? Or have heard if its a prank or something? Anyone here have AT&T?
Just saw this posted on Facebook... And after a google search all I found was one site and a Youtube video.

Facebook post with picture...
I was looking at my bill and didn't know what this lawful interception fee was....I googled it......WIRE TAPPING!!! I called and they said its a new fee for the cost incurred from the government. I don't have anything to hide so if they wanna tap my phone go ahead.....but why should I have to pay for it??!!!
This is ridiculous, please share this so we can get the word out there. Oh, and check your bills people!! - Via Kallie Snyder

Attention:
I had to repost this by copy, save-as, and re-posting. I think it was being blocked by the Obamanation. So do the same if you are tired of this Government intrusion BS.
I will be sending it to everyone on my email list as well and telling them to do the same. I'll be damned if I will pay for the government to illegally tap my own damn phone. Why don't I just pay for the bullet that they illegally kill me with?

Then after a google search this is all I found
http://yourdaddy.net/2013/08/07/nsa-char...overy-fee/

Its time to move on from this long section of my life, for good. I've learned alot. Found myself. And found my voice. Much of that helped by the aid of these communities. I just can no longer tolerate being manipulated, and it is happening to all of us on these forums, no matter how much you think you are above it. Hugs

This is what the government pays when they want to tap a phone:

Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) — How much are your private conversations worth to the U.S. government? Turns out, it can be a lot, depending on the technology.

In the era of intense government surveillance and secret court orders, a murky multimillion-dollar market has emerged. Paid for by U.S. tax dollars, but with little public scrutiny, surveillance fees charged in secret by technology and phone companies can vary wildly.

AT&T, for example, imposes a $325 "activation fee" for each wiretap and $10 a day to maintain it. Smaller carriers Cricket and U.S. Cellular charge only about $250 per wiretap. But snoop on a Verizon customer? That costs the government $775 for the first month and $500 each month after that, according to industry disclosures made last year to Congressman Edward Markey.

I guess they are passing that expense back to the taxpayers. That would be like double dipping since they are already using tax dollars to do this.

Dump AT&T. That company is the biggest rip off going. In the late 90's I had them for a long distance provider. My first months bill was over $500.

I switched to some no name provider and the following month my bill was about $3.75. I used the phone just as much.

I kicked AT&T to the curb about 5 years ago because they sucked - know what the sorry F@#$% did ? Put a charge on my credit report of $25.00 for "unpaid termination fee" and they had never sent me a bill or contacted me about it.

It's hard to get around using AT&T in the US. It's really popular in Louisiana, almost everybody has it for home and cell service, or at least most folks I know there do.

Just looking at that coverage, they are making millions on that fee alone!

The company I switched to was CCI and I still have them. My average monthly bill is still only about $8.00 This is for landline. There is no cell service here.

There are many charges for landline user fees and such. No telling what they are for. I recently switched plans to unlimited bundle -- that is BUNDLE all one price -- only to get all sorts of other fees added on.
