I want this.
Quote:The five-bedroom Dutch Colonial went on the market Monday for $1.15million (£805,000).

The film is based on the story of the Lutz family's brief stay in the house in 1975 after six members of the DeFeo family were shot and killed as they slept in the home.

Eldest son Ronald DeFeo Jr was convicted of the murders.

The crime spawned a book and a series of movies that chronicled various supernatural horrors, including visions of walls oozing slime, moving furniture and a visit from a demonic pig named Jodie.

The original film stars James Brolin and Margot Kidder.

Neighbours say gawkers still occasionally come by, mostly on Halloween.

So...how many folks would/could spend the night in that house?

It was all a hoax.

In other NY news. I went to school with a kid that blew away his whole family one morning before school, with a shotgun. Even his baby brother. But his sister survived, and still lives in the same house today, with her husband and children.

It's still one hell of a house. Located in a place i'd like to be one day.

Yeah, didn't the Lutz family actually just buy WAY too much house (financially) and concocted the story about posession to try to get out of the mortgage?

I've heard that theory. Theory, mind you.... chuckle

After the book was published they admitted hoaxing it. The book btw was creepy. It's a good read but totally fiction.

Some kid leaving "stupid head" messages on a f*cking phone wouldn't scare me off. I don't have a damn cell phone.

Not to derail the thread, but I want to build a passive solar greenhouse on the side of my house using decking materials, that looks kind of like their sunroom on the side of the house.

What I want is a one-story with a tall ceiling whose roof serves as a walk-out deck from the second floor. A solar hot water heater and some solar panels would be up there.

The frame would look almost exactly like the one shown in this pic.

Sounds to me like that would be beautiful.

Well, I guess the extra price is because it comes with its own goosebumps and chills.

Personally, I wouldn't live there if someone gave it to me!!
