Is April Fools Day and Easter related and if so, how and why? Is it a Conspiracy of warped minds?

Quote:April Fools' Day is celebrated in many countries on April 1 every year. Sometimes referred to as All Fools' Day, April 1 is not a national holiday, but is widely recognized and celebrated as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other.

Quote:Easter[nb 1][nb 2] (also called the Pasch[1][2] or Pascha[nb 3][3]) is a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary as described in the New Testament.[4][5] Easter is the culmination of the Passion of Christ, preceded by Lent, a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance. The last week of Lent is called Holy Week, and it contains the days of the Easter Triduum, including Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday), commemorating the Last Supper and its preceding foot washing,[6][7] as well as Good Friday, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus.[8] Easter is followed by a fifty-day period called Eastertide or the Easter Season, ending with Pentecost Sunday.

I never liked Easter, the kids all hyped up on chocolate first thing in the morning. at home we would have a marshmallow bunny after dinner for desert with Ice cream and custard, the chocolate thing was allowed to be given by the grandparents, I know strict old bastard I am, but C would give them chocky eggs when I was away. I always got the candy eggs, allergic to chocolate is I. Carob I can eat. Tissue

When I was a child, we were to find our hidden Easter basket somewhere in the house. In the basket, there would be a gift along with a wide assortment of candy and colored chicken eggs. Eventually, we would put our new Easter clothes on, as opposed to normal Sunday service clothes, and attend church services.

Timing is everything isn't it? Here on Earth and in the Spirit Realm....

Here's more bible verses from the link above:

Quote:1 Timothy 4:1 ESV

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

2 Peter 3:8 ESV

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Another great thread SG.... I hope to add more to this thought provoking discussion!

So how *do* parents explain Easter to their kids anyway?
Specifically the bunny and the eggs...where is the religious correlation?
Honest question...not trolling.

The religious version is that Easter is the celebration of Christ ressurection. The bunnies, eggs and peeps, etc. represent birth or a rebirth of Christ and that Spring is the renewal of life like that of Christ.
