People who make deals with the devil do some weird ass shit.

I blame his background, maybe.

No moral grounding?

But then again, I do know some people (not many) who were raised by wolves, so to speak, and still became relatively decent folk.

They are the exception to the rule IMO.

I pretty much got my conscience, to the extent it exists, from my mother --- and she from her father (BTW, FWIW, the descendent of two "Illuminati bloodlines").

And her father was a "knight" of sorts -- KoC (+).

Noblesse oblige.

Sometimes the path to hell is paved with the very best of intention.

He sold his soul for fortune and fame,

You can bet your ass he wants every damn penny he can get his hands on in this life,

because in his afterlife,

its going to be eternal misery.

Op, why do you idolize these people?

Concerned that they have an effect on a sub culture that we now know was a complete fabrication?

Wow, what an exercise in futility.

Another fabrication on a fabrication and a conspiracy over the fabricated results.

Derp.

RE: Bob Dylan Sues Homeless Family With Disabled Son For $25,000
Looking at the "example" given on the website comparing Steel Guitars to Dignity simply proves there is a vague similarity o the song. At best there could be an influence which is how most musicians work since they do not operate in a vacuum and are "influenced" by other artists.
From reading what was presented on that page and using what I know about Music having been a Musician for over 50 years and having a Doctorate Level Knowledge of Music Theory and Composition my opinion is that someone is trying to get rich suing "Bob Dylan". I also want to state I have never been a big fan of "Bob Dylan" and know he and many others of the time copy-wrote traditional tunes. Others who did it were The Beatles, Muddy Waters (he stole a song My Mother wrote in the 20's), Johnny Cash, etc etc etc. Many Times it was actually the Record Companies doing this and not the Artist themselves but this is more of a discussion than I'm interested in investing the time into discussing.

Right on. I couldn't imagine why Dylan would sue, but copyright infringement is serious business. I'd be a millionaire now had I sued when I had the chance over a project I came up with. You're right about musicians borrowing melodies, etc., from the past and changing them slightly. But artists must stand up for themselves for the theft of creation, even against a homeless person. Sorry.
