chuckle

At first I thought this was total bullshit, but the picture is from the NASA website....

Guess somebody didn't notice the mouse on "mars" before putting it up.

wow, got it.

i was looking for something much smaller/further away.

That is damning, i have never doubted all 'rover' pics are from locations on earth, most likely nevada.

Never thought of the problem of small animals, birds and insects.

Whatever measures they employ, they have failed here.

Now, to sit back and wait for this to feature on the same news channels who went blanket live hysterical coverage for its 'landing'.

Bump

In a world gone mad, we will not spank the monkey, but the monkey will spank us.

Does anyone know how to actually get to this image from the NASA website? I'm not sure when it was put up.

RE: Find the Mouse - on Mars
'Rocknest' From Sol 52 Location

This patch of windblown sand and dust downhill from a cluster of dark rocks is the "Rocknest" site, which has been selected as the likely location for first use of the scoop on the arm of NASA's Mars rover Curiosity. This view is a mosaic of images taken by the telephoto right-eye camera of the Mast Camera (Mastcam) during the 52nd Martian day, or sol, of the mission (Sept. 28, 2012), four sols before the rover arrived at Rocknest. The Rocknest patch is about 8 feet by 16 feet (1.5 meters by 5 meters).

Scientists white-balanced the color in this view to show the Martian scene as it would appear under the lighting conditions we have on Earth, which helps in analyzing the terrain.
