I'm more worried about a long, hot drought this summer. All it will take is one drought and most of the farmers will be busted. It's unbelievable what I see these farming families spend on their children, some of them. NOT all! When I was growing up, farming families didn't waste their money on frivolities.

Alot of people in the cities are going to have that same idea
but a whole lot less prepared, and more desperate
They will wander out into the wilderness
They will come like waves of zombies
exhausted and starved from the long journey out of the cities
But after the first year most of the masses will have died
and it will be the roving gangs of bandits to be wary of
Community is key to our survival and you can bet,
there will be those who work together for others
and those who work together against others

I think America is good for the time being.

All of the difficult decisions have been put off until after the election.

WHAT SEEMS OBVIOUS TO ME IS THAT EUROPE AS A WHOLE IS SLOWLY GOING UNDER.

ARE YOU PREPARED? We already have building unrest in this country as evidenced in the OCCUPY MOVEMENT. That could turn violent this summer if we start falling deeper into Depression like Europe.

THIS IS NOT SHAPING UP GOOD. If you have a secure position out in the boonies it might be best to stay there!

I have a "bug out" place in Southeastern Colorado. I can grow food there as well as protect myself. My neighbors and I have all organized and have installed our own solar powered phone system between the ten ranches in our immediate area. Cell phone relay stations can be vandalized and land line systems can fail if wires are cut coming from the nearby cities.

I have been elected Sheriff of our small self protection community for the time being. This is not a registered title with the State. If government fails, we will effectively have our own law enforcement and will support each other in defending our land and families.

Ironic that Sixty Minutes last night asked the exact same question and came up with the same results. The world appears to be in serious trouble.
