Jack Parsons was my great uncle (or cousin-thingy). He founded the JPL and Aerojet Corp and invented the solid rocket fuel still in use today He was also Aleister Crowley's hand picked successor to lead his religion of Thelema , a ceremonial magician, an anarcho-libertarian responsible for inspiring Heinlien.

His greatest acheivement was allegedly the Babalon Working, an attempt to find and open the last Enochian Watchtower, bring about the Apocalyse, incarnate a Messiah, and save mankind in the process.

Six years later, jack was killed in an explosion in his garage laboratory...though conspiracy theories abound about this.

At the request of our own Blind Prophet I have begun an extensive research study of my Uncle Jack. I'll use this space to post my findings.

DISCLAIMER: I do claim and many Thelemites accept that I may, in fact, be Uncle Jack's much delayed Moonchild, the Incarnation of Babalon, daughter of Nuit. But don't worry about that. This thread is mostly going to be about Jack.

Bring all your Jack knowledge here, and we'll see if together we can figure out the mysteries of Jack Parsons.

He was, but he also presented very libertarian views in works like, Stranger in a Strange Land and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

RE: Jack Parsons
Thank you!!!

Her uncle Jack is the key person to understanding what the government has been up to in area 51. Besides being a researcher and scientist, his works in divination and conjuring were supposedly paramount, I am a layman about those details but crowley loved him.

Well there is an old, hard to even find rumor, that there was a dimensional portal located in area 51. A Parsons study could be a way of verifying manmade/assisted possible scenarios about aliens or demonic entities.

If we can obtain evidence, or trusted testimonials about this possible portal the value would be incalculable.

Personally I believe the "aliens" are demons, somewhat look a likes to "lam" or aiwass. reinforced by sayings in the book of enoch and of some of TPTB.

see details here if you are curious about my theory.

but let's thank diana in advance for this learning opportunity. her unle was a remarkable man.

I thought Heinlein was a crypto-fascist?

He was, but he also presented very libertarian views in works like, Stranger in a Strange Land and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

I will admit both strains of thought are present in his work, but I hardly think he was clearly a good guy. A bit enigmatic.

I don't really concern myself with him too much and he is dead.

He was hardly necessarily a purist champion of libertarianism.

His motives were highly suspect. And there is no reason to believe Crowley's or your unlce's (cousin's?) motives had any redeeming features at all.

Fair enough. But those books are big in the libertarian circles that I know.

No reason to believe? Sure there is. They said they did. Have you ever read Uncle Jack's Freedom is a Two Edged Sword? He loved humanity.

I guess you found religion, Dave? I'm friends with BP and he's religious. Why can't we be friends just because we disagree? That attitude will doom the world pretty quickly if carried to its extreme.

Like me or dislike me. There are others here I would rather hate me, but you are not in that category.

Consider there is yet time.

Renounce your sorceries (pharmakon). That is actually meant to be helpful advice and not an accusation from someone like you and your uncle that practiced forms of occultism -- despite the fact that I was chosen for other things.

My real awakening has been most recent and gradual.

But I believe it may have been in the nick of time.

Repent, eh?

I would spend eternity in hell to help the world get out of this mess...and you think I'm evil?

I repent nothing...but I do appreciate the kindness behind your warning.

Best of luck.
