The term Lucifer in its meaning of "light bearer" and in reference to "light" being a term used also to refer to "knowledge" or "making one aware" is an appropriate epithet for God.
Nowhere in the Bible is Satan called Lucifer, yet Jesus Christ is called Lucifer in Revelation 22:16 as I've quoted above (a term used for the Morning Star which is what was being said there and was yet again a reference to the semitic idea of Kingship as related to Venus).
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
You'll notice the mention of King David is directly followed by the epithet used of Semitic Kings "Morning Star".
Lucifer is a term applied to a Babylonian King in Isaiah and to Jesus in Revelations. Lucifer is the Latin term used for the Morning Star. Morning Star was an epithet for semitic Kings apparently, and so it was used for Jesus after reference to being from the Kingly line of David.
Lucifer became a term mistakenly identified with the character of Satan, but nowhere in the Bible does it call Satan Lucifer, and Christians ended up making this whole story about Satan being an angel called Lucifer when the Bible never says Satan was ever an angel.
Lucifer as a term simply means "light bearer" or "light bearing" and though it was used prominently as a reference to the morning star (Venus) and its symbol (the pentacle/pentagram) was due to the inferior conjunctions of Venus to the Earth, the word itself can also be used to mean "light bearing" as in "knowledge bearing" if "light" is used metaphorically to mean "knowledge" or "that which makes something visible or comprehensible".
In the sense of the most basic metaphorical meaning of the word, what I call "God" would be the Ultimate source of all information (which everything everywhere is made of), and thus the true "light/knowledge bearer" that also provides whatever awareness we have of anything and all the experiences of information in our lives.
I do not believe the term "Morning Star" is appropriate for the Ultimate Power, nor do I believe that Jesus is God, nor do I believe that the term Lucifer in the Latin Translation of Isaiah was referring to Satan (though many use the term Lucifer to refer to Satan, even among some Satanists/Luciferians), but when I say "hail Lucifer" I'm not talking about Satan or Jesus, but rather God, who I think the term is appropriate for (Among some gnostics, the term Lucifer seems to be applied to the One Source as well, and some make a distinction stating that Satan or the Serpent in the Garden is an agent of Lucifer or incarnation of Lucifer sent to give people knowledge).
Lucifer exists as a term, as a reference, as an actual symptom of things, and as an appropriate attribute for the Ultimate. This is simply because the latin word Lucifer means "light bearer". Thus anything that bears "light" either symbolically or naturally would qualify as a "light bearer".
When I say "hail Lucifer" I am referring particularly to what I've explained in other posts, as an attribute or epithet for the Ultimate Power which "bears light" as in "knowledge". I am not speaking of Satan, and the association with Satan and the serpent is generally an invention that occurred later due to Christian misunderstandings of some things (yet the term Lucifer is used of Jesus, in the sense it is used to refer to Jesus it is a translation of the epithet "morning star" which was a title of prestige and honor among semitic Kings apparently, as is mentioned in Isaiah in reference to a Babylonian King. "morning stars". Do you know what the "morning star" is? The "morning star" is a "star" that appears in the sky in the mornings. It isn't actually a star though, it is the planet Venus.
The title "morning star", or "morning venus" if that helps, was used as an epithet for Kings in semitic languages. It was used of the Babylonian King Isaiah was eulogizing bitterly, and it was used later of Jesus in Revelations due to his Kingship through the line of David.
The term Messiah is not used exclusively of Jesus either, but is applied even to the Persian King Cyrus. Messiah means "annointed one" in reference to the oil which leaders were anointed with when selected to lead.
I don't believe Jesus and Lucifer are the same thing. Sorry but they really are not anything alike. Lucifer is God of the vatican and they and Jesus would have nothing in common. Jesus wouldn't even support the existence of it let alone be worshiped by it.
