Wow, looks like a cool fun hobby. I play with something somewhat similar but at 1/10th the scale. Almost got jacked my first time out a couple years ago. chuckle

You should have converted the rear area to a fully sheetmetal enclosed sleeping area.

Sleeping inside the vehicle ahs to be way more healthy and safe than sleeping outside in a tent.

Plus you can store provisions inside, away from bugs, bears and coons<==those little devils will tear things up to get yummy goodies :-)

Plus add a CB radio--just in case.

My next vehicle will be something I can sleep comfortably in. Probably a van. Also agree on a cb. It will tell you where the check points are so you can get off at the next exit and find your way around it.

Here are a few shots taken by Hinley Photography in the trail ride where I hit the huge mud hole and killed the car and then the starter.............

The metal fab guy got my strut plates finished already............

I just had to weld in (3) 5/16" bolts in from the backside to complete them after a test fit........

Here is the plate bolted to the top of the strut............

And now in the car............

These plates make EcoMudder as tall as it will go before the passenger side axle starts to rum the lower control arm mount. As far as the rear, I simply loosened the pinch bolt on the rear struts and moved the spindle down all the way to the bottom of the strut. The car has actually leveled out and no issues with camber...........

I also got a chance to relocate the ignition coil into a safe place where no mud will go unless I really sink it good..................

Are you going to put the roof back on? It doesn't look safe against zombies Hiding3

Roof stays off and back of car wide open.

Makes it easier to exit if we submerge it too deep and also makes it easier for the wife to shoot any zombies chasing us lol

It will have a roll bar and KC Hi-Lights

You realize, don't you... that you're gonna need some flappies??? Otherwise you're gonna get caked with mud.

You could build a SWEET teardrop trailer for that and overbuild the frame and springs etc. Big enough for two to sleep in and haul gear. Like a micro 5th wheel.

I like the last pic for you because it could have higher clearance built into the frame and suspension for "some" rougher hauls or through the zombie hordes.

Cui Bono?

How many guys hook up to a bumper to pull someone out of a snowdrift... or mud hole??? I think this is proof that you don't want to leave the back open.

I'd give you five stars if I were allowed to vote. Sigh.

I did it for you.... What fun to watch. Wish I were there.
