Oh wow. I honestly thought the flags thing might be interesting and fun, but here it is already used for trolling.

On one thread trolling europeans, someone posted a single comment:

So again it depends upon you and not on the leaders – not on so-called statesmen and all the rest of them. It depends upon you and me but we do not seem to realize that. If once we really felt the responsibility of our own actions, how quickly we could bring to an end all these wars, this appalling misery!

I was raised to love the flag of the USA and still remember the pledge I learned in school. Went out to buy one at the dollar store but then I saw that the ones for sale were made in China and held off. Asked the building super. for one and he gave a vintage 1940's model. Maybe with only 48 stars but if was was good enough for John Wayne to hit the bloody beaches of the South Pacific it's good enough for me. But when I unfolded it found it was coming apart just like the whole country I guess. At last I found a little reproduction of the Betsy Ross one of 1776 in the thrift shop - the one with 13 stars in a circle. Looks great just like Baby Bear's porage so I paid a quarter and got it. Time to start over.

America was an evil country from the beginning. Starting by genociding millions of Indians and locking the few survivors in concentration camps is all you really need to know about the evil assholes that started this.

I rarely if ever mention brainwashing but in my book, this is brainwashing 101. How could anyone love a flag? I can understand loving pets, family and friends but a flag? Flags are inanimate objects used as tools held by TPTB.

The flag thing is traditionally for rallying troops on the battlefield. In the old days you can see where the flag is and you have your orders what to do relative to it, at all times.

In more modern times, it's used for competitions like Olympics, and national bodies like the U.N. and military stuff.

Flags are good for where you want people to lose their identity into the national or group identity.

In thinking about this further, I now think that putting flags on people's posts in discussion groups is a terrible idea.
