shocked1 The Beast is Us?
Disclaimer: This is in no way meant or written to offend any religious belief

We always search, it seems, always find reasons to justify things we do or things we think. Some are almost always in thought pondering of why they are who they are. Some judge others as being "bad people", or being sought after as those of "Satanic belief". Some religions preach that those who don't follow in with God's way are more susceptible to fall in line with the Devil. There is a beast out there, they say, and we must look out for it.

Well, the beast is already in us. We are our own worst enemies. Have you ever noticed we are sometimes hypercritical of ourselves in a much more severe sense than with other people? Why is that? Why does it seem that we sometimes demonize ourselves to the point of disgust? Some say it's easy to get out of that rut. Some say all you have to do is stay positive. Is it really as easy as that? We are all bred with 2 halves, we have the good, and we have the bad. If we look at it from a philosophical standpoint this could mean a few things: we are both our own God AND Devil. What if religious text wasn't written to be taken literally, and taken figuratively. They talk about the battle of good and evil, judgment and the will to be a good person for God. What if that is all meant to mean we should strive to be good for ourselves, but the inner "beast" makes that near impossible.

Is everyday meant to be a fight with ourselves? To quell the urges of our inner beast?

RE: The Beast is Us?
Our beast inside can rear it's ugly head
You must learn what it is about to
Understand yourselves while the beast
Starts to judge others an ridicule them
In the shadows while you try to release
The beast demons inside of you to come
To a middle ground with them in your head
So you can take the good and evil halves
To send them to your heart your brain
With Love to understand to stop beating
Yourself like a drum with your vices with
The worlds problems where you twist
Them into a tornado in your mind an
Tasmania whirlish devil you into an illusion
Of becoming the pandoras box of evil
The hollywood movie of love
The prepackage staged events of for agendas
For if you do then you let Goliath stomp on you
To become the illusions around us an end up
In the pandoras box of mystery where the ark
Opens all the souls from the past where that
Spin around your mind to turn it upside down
Then to spin in into their illusion of being the
Sins the beast the devil the evil she devil
The grandmaster crooked nazi sadistic occult ways
But you can take those crooked symbols an take
Back the native natural organic nature of being in
The now where you can throw a dash of salt over
Your should so those hellhounds are no longer on
Your tail for the beast is not chained to your
System even though you see it around you
You choose it to not phase you at all for
Your phasers are set to stun not kill them
But to take the negative the bad and ingest a little
To learn about your own beasts inside to pick
What you want to save your vote for yourself
To vote for none of the above but yourself
To share the wealth of your beasts an how you
Can change yourself an give up your addictions
Even if that addiction is love that is lost an gone
Where you become inside the illusion of love
Which is a beast a nightmare a dream a pandoras box of it all
Which tells you stop stop the vices are tight gripping you
Stop Stop your beast is taking over
Hope floats by like a feather and you hope you can grab it
At least you understand some of your beasts a little bit

I'm writing a series of novels that use this idea throughout. It's an interesting concept.

It is. I posted a thread not too long ago similar to this, this is just the more thought out version of that first thread.

Could the beast be ego?

I think the beast is anything that inhibits us.

The beast is something inside every person that can take over that person and make them become someone they maybe didn't believe they could become.

RE: The Beast is Us?
your choices that you make define you rager, it is not your religion or your beliefs that define your morals. Your morals are what makes you you, and we have the right to choose whatever we like. Most will choose the right path some will not, now whats really interesting is whether you believe it is you that is making those choices or whether you have been programmed to think and act a certain way. A conflicting view may have been potentially inserted into your make up through what ever means but may be against what you believe to be morally right, but will endevor to justify yourself to yourself even though you know this idea is wrong on many levels, the end result can often be horrible, this is what they call critical theory and is something I am reading about at the moment. At least I think thats what they are on about I could of course be completely wrong but as this is my opinion it's as right as it gets for me.

It rubs the lotion on its BEAST. It does this whenever it's told. It puts the lotion on its BEAST, or else it gets the hose again.

Now it places the lotion in the basket.

I think this is well stated, Tasha. Great post.
