RE: What say gunny's?
I would never even entertain the thought of putting a laser sight on a rifle.
The only weapon I would even consider mounting one on might be a nightstand pistol.
In any tactical situation you do not want a laser beam pointing back to your position.
Muzzle flash is bad enough.

I wouldn't even put one on a pistol. FWIW.

I've noticed I almost always agree with you on weapons issues Omega.
Yeah, personally I wouldn't use one there either, that was just the only situation I could think of where it might be useful. Unless you are a cop making a "dynamic entry" while serving a no knock warrant.

Cool man. Cheer Yes if you were using a pistol as an offensive weapon at night -yeah maybe. Just something more to break at the most inopportune moment IMO. I prefer Tritium night sights.

I'm not even using my 1911 as a nightstand gun any longer. Using a Charter Arms Bulldog Pug in .44 Special. Backing that up is a Winchester 1300 Defender Riot Shotgun, and 7 Dogs. One extremely Large and 6 growing rapidly. ;>).

YEP!

Lasers are for painting targets to be hit with missiles. If you need it on a small arm then you don't practice enough night training in fact if you need your sight at night you need to practice shooting at sound.

BUT

That's just me what do I know?

I seen one on a Glock. It has a pressure switch so you have the option.
Of using it or not.

I always thought it might come in handy if you face a threat..and light up the guys heart as a warning.chuckle

As I have said on many occasions - I want no devices with batteries on my weaponry. Too prone to failure.

We're surrounded? Well, that simplifies our problem.
