I don't hate her. I like her. I'd love to get to hunt with her and chat it up. I actually like how she handled the oil royalties issues in Alaska.

On the other hand I think the one thing Bush was surely spot on about was Palin. She just don't seem qualified for the role of Commander in Chief unless you believe what we need is a new toad working for Haliburton. As to her "values", it seems to me her values are focused on Sarah's needs and desires, not Americas. She's no TR, Sorry.

Personally, based only on hearing her speak, I wouldn't hire her over any of my previous hires ... including the maid. But I would love to get a chance to see her hunting skills.

I'm not sure if we can judge the tea party movement by Palin...what does the Teaparty really stand for?

But

It looks as if she is a big supporter of Israel. ...If that is indicative of the whole of the Tea Party mindset, than I say fuck em all.

Teaparty seems to be the turning into the ultra conservative fundi christian zionist party.....Wasn't teaparty suposed to be about about TAXES

Politics: all of it, the whole thing, EVERY "SIDE," is a "sheeple movement."

Her crib notes:

Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words "Energy", "Tax" and "Lift American Spirits" are clearly visible. There's also what appears to read as "Budget cuts" with the word Budget crossed out.

Just to be clear: The notes most likely weren't for her speech, for which she used prepared remarks, but for the Q&A session that followed, during which she glanced at the hand in question.

But in my opinion that's even worse.

There were no specifics on there, just general concepts and things she supports.

The takeaway is that this presidential contender apparently can't remember her supposed core principles and needs a cheat-sheet when simply asked about her beliefs.

To quote Charlie Brown:

Good grief.

RE:With Sarah Palin Leading the Tea Party - Anyone Really Doubt It's a Sheeple Movement?
The really sad thing IMHO is not that she had notes written on her hand, but that the folks that want to believe she's different than she really is, will just use the angst against Palin to further justify their own neurosis. It makes HER more like THEM! Just people!

Her credibility as a potential Commander in Chief is NIL....NADA....ZILCH...ZERO

The "followers" of Palin (IMHO) are looking for just a normal civilian - a DC outsider. They're not able to see past the rhetoric and the brainwashing. I have several friends who believe she's the greatest thing ever. I only shake my head. Seriously, there is not ONE SINGLE thing about her that appeals to me as a politician and/or potential candidate and/or even a spokeswoman.

I don't think that the Teabaggers are "sheeple", although they are becoming more and more 'mainstream'. I think Ms. Palin sees the baggers as a potential addition to her populist base and is trying to position herself as their spokesperson.

Whether this will work with either the leaders of the baggers (if such an amorphous movement can have "leaders") or the rank-and-file remains to be seen.

KEY NOTE SPEAKER of the convention.

Being a keynote speaker doesn't make her their leader; It's just that they got someone famous to talk at their convention. They want and need the publicity; so does she. They're using each other and will continue to do so only as long as it is advantageous for both of them.

In politics, that's called a "marriage of convenience"

[b]True. But then, Thomas Jefferson embodies the Libertarian Party's platform; that does not make him our leader, though!
