In my agency we are facing 15% permanent pay cuts in a few months, this will cause many not to be able to make a living. Also, 10% of that will be funneled directly back into the Stock Market, never to be seen again. It is sinister what is occurring.

In Michigan, the public service sector is just being cut, period. No money.
Ain't nobody walking away from a paying job. You'd be certifiable if ya did. Ain't no jobs here.
Hell, the road commissions target formerly paved roads they can't maintain anymore. They're going from paved back to gravel. It's cheaper to grind em up to their former state.

I remember when Bush was elected telling my friends he was an honest person, because my thinking was that a born again Christian wouldn't lie and hurt people.

We had lays-offs of 250 people....
but there's some restoration work going on ....and we have a score of them working with us...and staying at the expensive hotel in town.
