deja vu is another clue that we may have been here before, everyone experiences it, and traditional dogma cannot explain it satisfactorily

so its another piece of the puzzle imo Jhikpghf

I'm not sure that deja vu is an aspect of reincarnation. I've thought about that. A lot of the times we have deja vu is when we are doing mundane things and the feeling comes on that I've been in this exact spot doing this exact thing in these exact surroundings. How can that be if it was another lifetime in another era? It doesn't make sense.

I've considered the notion that deja vu might occur when something major in our soul path is coming up and it's like a signpost that things are going to change. An opportunity? A choice in the path? Something, or a time, the soul maybe recognizes it should be aware of. I don't know.

i don't know but some of the ones i have had have been in places i have never been before, and it wasn't doing something mundane or usual for me,

one was out of state on a tour of a victorian home, and maybe its not even the home that i lived in in a past life but just the energy of that place on earth that i connected with,

or some strange energy vortex

Okay. I'm just saying my experience with it. I really haven't had the opportunity to go very far outside of where I was born and raised. So really haven't had a chance to explore that aspect of it.

I know I've gone places and gotten the sense of past spirits and history....and even sensed them watching from their time. But for me, it wasn't like a deja vu, just their presence.

There have been times when I've walked into a room full of strangers and had a feeling that I knew them all. This also happens when I board an airplane. I'll look at all the faces... and they all look familiar.

I have trouble remembering past yesterday.

I think all the hoopa-la about past lives is wishful thinking and a deep seated dissatisfaction with the present. If your present is unhappy or unfulfilling fix it, don't pretend to have lived before in some fantasy life that was way better than this one.

If we are recycled time after time, what is the point? If I had a past life it did me no good. What good is a past life anyway? Who do you think started this rinse and repeat cycle? And how come there are more souls now than ever before? Where were they a thousand years ago? Stuck inside grasshoppers? How come you don't remember being a grasshopper?

Now remembering through genetic memories, that I might accept. Receiving the collective information from ancestors through dna, I can see that. Perhaps humanity has lost the ability to access the information encoded in their dna.

I've often considered that my memory might be of some movie (see my post above) My next memory is of being stung by a bee at age 4, so I'd guess that would trump some stupid movie. chuckle
Besides, I can still put myself there and feel what he felt, so I'm sure its not some movie.

I get Deja-vu at least 3 times a week... where I just pause and try to remember why I feel this way...

That's pretty much my opinion. Those flashes I have as an adult, and the safety I felt as a child in certain areas are likely genetic memory. I still think it would be cool to live in a cave thoughHeartflowers

we have all been all of these things...
each consciousness interprets their interactions with physical reality and time in different ways than how humans do..a tree over 100's or even 1000's of years , a rock for millions of years... a butterfly for a few days.. all these journeys invaluable components to our greater being and the evolution of our collective psyche

Oh god yes. I don't have visual memories per say, but I get these feelings. The best way I can describe how I feel, is that it takes me back, but I do not know to when.

Exactly. But as you and I discussed in a different thread, it is not the "human" psyche. Humans are only another species of experience. This is, to me, about RESPECT for Life, in whatever form it takes. And appreciation of Creation.

We're in a biosphere where species live in a system of interdependence.

Yes. I think I've been here many, many times.

I once put myself into a trance and "programmed" myself to have a dream about a past life. What I dreamt was vividly of being raped and murdered (stabbed with a screwdriver) by two men. Didn't sleep the rest of the night, and have never tried that again. I get curious sometimes, but... there might be good reasons we don't remember our past lives.

I had that memory come to me when I met this woman named Susan.

Usually when I resonate with someone I take the time to meditate on them by asking, "How do I know this person?" Then I follow up with more questions to narrow things down. With Susan I saw us both as trees in this forest standing next to each other.

After having the memory of the trees, this couple stopped by Susan's place out of the blue, and gave her a gift of a ceramic Greenman mask.

I had some long talks with Susan because we both resonate with nuclear war. She has strong memories of taking part in a very large war that killed billions of souls in another part of this reality.

It seems it's still something I'm working out, because here I am on a planet on the brink of WWIII.

Natural disasters, major attack on the U.S., martial law, civil war, WWIII, foreign invasion/occupation, and then basic survival.

I agree that there are good reasons for not remembering.

The few glimpses I had were not "pleasant" to say the least.

Since I was very, very young - people always told my parents that I seemed very "old" and "sad". Some of this I attribute to their unhappy marriage. But not all.

I am unsure if reincarnation (or incarnation) exists, and if so, what form that would take (whether genetic memory, coming back to Earth, etc.)....All I know is that these hints or memories are good to explore in small doses in order to help us overcome issues and pain in our current lives.

But I made the mistake once of trying to open the box too quickly, and discovered why there is a reason it should remain mostly closed (for me personally). Like you - there are horrible things back there, and they are safely compartmentalized and blocked for now.
