Don't think a bureaucrat, and even less so in the UFO branch, could tell a truth to save his life.

They will find many armies to test them, but none to resist.
They will come in their shining ships to conquer and destroy,
Barbarians of gold and feathers and serpents of fire.

Have you tried hitting the ground with a sledge hammer What1

Just kidding :thumbup

-----------------------------------------------------------

Have you taken any photographs of your trip there? And can you please upload a few here for us to see? Yellowstone holds a certain fascination geologically, its formation, its history and past events.
I will upload a bunch tonight.

Is it possible to make Yellowstone go off by detonating an underground nuke?

If you mean a caldera eruption, no. You must first fill a huge magma chamber with several cubic miles of rhyolite.

Ok, first obvious question, are you a geologist or a vulcanologist?

No, I am a retired aerospace bureaucrat. However, geology is a hobby of mine, and I've taken eight or nine college geology courses, the last of which was GEO275, Geology of Yellowstone National Park, at the College of Southern Idaho.
