Any weird vibes in regards to the coast to coast programmes concerning strange missing persons cases there?

Not that I know of!

No.
It ain't gonna blow after all.

For someone who has never seen Yellowstone with their own eyes, would it be a good vacation spot for my family and myself? Would it be worth the trip across country?
Seems like it would be.

I love nature by the way.

I recommend it highly, but not between Memorial and Labor Day.

Blew every day when I was there.

Is it broken?

"Blow", in this case, refers to a caldera eruption. What you (and I, and everyone else) have seen are hydrothermal (heated water/steam/mud) eruptions.

Well, that's disappointing. Are you sure?

Near as I (or anyone else) can tell, no; at least not for another thousand years or so and even then, if a magma chamber fills with rhyolite.

Did you tell any of your fellow researchers that you're a moderator at a website for lunatics?

chuckle

As a matter of fact, I did. They'd never heard of "chem-trails" and enjoyed hearing about that particular subject.

Did you see a grizzly?

Where did you camp?

There is a trail that starts near the Indian pond and goes up to the north east to a high elevation and then dead ends. It once went over the top and then down in the national forest. Old south entrance that was only for hiking. You would not have been on this trail?

No, but I saw bison, deer, and elk.
We stayed in a cabin in the town of West Yellowstone Montana.
I didn't, but I'm going back there at least twice this year....

Was u packing heat, brother?

No, Yellowstone doesn't believe in the 2nd Amendment, and neither does the College of Southern Idaho on school trips, alas.

Have you tried hitting the ground with a sledge hammer What1

Just kidding :thumbup

-----------------------------------------------------------

Have you taken any photographs of your trip there? And can you please upload a few here for us to see? Yellowstone holds a certain fascination geologically, its formation, its history and past events.
I will upload a bunch tonight.

Thank you, looking forward to a personal first person view point on the scene.

Politics only interests me because it
affects people psychologically, other
than that I couldn't care less about it.

Do you believe absolutely everything that people tell you?

No, I just try to basic my beliefs on logic and evidence. Don't you?

Why is this troll thread pinned?

Beats me! Usually I pin my own thread, but I just got back from some shopping and chores and found another Mod did it for me. Thank you, O generous fellow Mod!

are the stones actually yellow?

A lot of the Huckleberry Ridge Tuff (the ash-fall from the Island Park Caldera) is kind of tan, and sulfur compounds (like H2SO4 in some of the fumaroles) will stain the ground yellow, and so do some of the hydrothermal bacteria.

But it's certainly not from gold, because we didn't see any!

I didn't; everyone's heard of them. But only one of the people had even heard of "chem-trails".
