"buddha said-when you are meditating you are safe"

That's a pleasant thought.

Ephesians 6:10-18 King James Version (KJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

RE: Neuroscience Has a Lot To Learn from Buddhism
Hey everyone !!!

I am conducting a Neuroscience Experiment of my own !!! Yea for real !!!

I have what's called a Flanagan Neurophone, it's an ultrasonic brain booster it heightens your intelligence with soothing ultrasonic signal. The child prodigy inventor of the device, Dr. G. Patrick Flanagan, calls the ultrasonic stimulation of the mind "FOOD FOR THE BRAIN."

Anyway the details would completely overwhelm you but using this device I have been able to establish contact with THE OTHER SIDE !!!

YES !!!

I have been able to journey into the WORLD OF MONSTERS and they LOVE to speak to me over this psychic telephone, the Neurophone !!! I dial them up every now and then to hear what evil plans they have brewing, and then I spell the words out for the entire world to take notice !!!

Long story short, I may've accidentally destroyed the entire world in doing so.

Sorry about that. I mean I am "REQUIRED" to "APOLOGIZE" but I'm really not that sorry; I WANTED to destroy the world !!!

Does that make you sad ? Upset ? Angry ?

chuckle

I had my heart broken; now the world will pay !!!

I am such an asshole

The Buddhist concept of the Tulpa Effect means that our thoughts manifest themselves into our reality. This includes ghosts & other supernatural phenomena. Remember the giant Dough Guy from Ghostbusters? I watched this good cartoon video about it yesterday ("You Vs Slenderman") & I thought I'd share it ...

Golf does the same thing.

I call it the Zen of golf.

We started with Frisbee golf back in the 70s out on a blufftop farm.
Amazing things would happen while in the Zen.

There's a book you might find interesting called Zen Golf: Mastering the Mental Game

Nepalese monks all did a drug called Grayanotoxin

https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/neu...ayanotoxin

Sometimes until they actually died of it

and they live in areas where high levels are found and use rhododendron which contains the drug in their ritual incense, you can get it made by nuns:

https://www.dharmashop.com/collections/tibetan-incense

I knew a man who was the kindest person on earth, and he grew up around the plants that secrete this drinking from a well that stank of the stuff

You don't need your sitting on the floor crap, all you need is the plant

deli bal honey

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grayanotoxin

The mediation was just them sitting around stoned. People need to live, not just eat a tree

There might be something to that. Then there are the philanthropists. They have much influence and opportunity to prop up symbols for profit.

Be careful measuring the immeasurable, as you may instead confuse the ruler with what is measured.

A scientist and a monk compare notes on meditation, therapy, and their effects on the brain.

Can training the mind make us more attentive, altruistic, and serene? Can we learn to manage our disturbing emotions in an optimal way? What are the transformations that occur in the brain when we practice meditation? In a book titled Beyond the Self, two friends—Matthieu Ricard, who left a career as a molecular biologist to become a Buddhist monk in Nepal, and Wolf Singer, a distinguished neuroscientist—engage in an unusually well-matched conversation about meditation and the brain. Below is a condensed and edited excerpt.... read on!

Excellent article. Everyone should practice mindfulness.
