I received a new hand tool today that was made in Sheffield, England. A brass and wood handled brad pusher. Not some cheap Chinese crap, this is a fine tool. I’m proud to add it to my hand tools and will be installing quarter round trim starting tomorrow. Thank you to the fine craftsmen in England from a Southern boy in America.

Shouldn't you be on an Ace hardware forum, oh wait this isn't about your tool is it?

Goodbye cruel world I'm off to join the circus.

Fitting in isn't about what you know, it's what you don't know that makes you a team player.

RE: Thank you England
I still use some of the woodworking tools given to me by my grandfather, some of them his dad gave him.

The hand finishing plane is a delight to use and gives a much better finish than an electric.

I've got turn of the (20th) century hammers, saws, (which I still can't sharpen as well as my grandpop), rasps, you name it.

Quality you don't see anymore, for sure.

RE: Thank you England
Being a tradesman certain tools are a joy to use.

I.like to give thanks for the food I eat and the tools and other necessities of life I acquire.

I can definitely relate.

RE: Thank you England
I have power tools but prefer to use manual tools. It’s a great stress reliever. The oldest thing I have is a 1907 brace and bit that has been handed down over and over. My woodworking mistakes are just considered my signature and there’s a boring story behind each one. By the way, I’m using a 60 year old miter box to cut the trim.

Thank you to the USA....

As a Carpenter & Joiner - I totally LOVE (would NOT be without) my ESTWING claw hammer (I've had for over 30 years).

I've brought crap tools in the past long term they are a waste of money. Good to buy quality tools. Sheffield is well known for producing high standards tools.

Always a clean chop.
