... and while we're on the subject, if you aren't dosing your dogs once a month with generic Ivermectin, you're throwing away m0ney.

My 65-100lb dogs get .5cc orally once a month.

... for Heartworm prevention.

Anybody tried Soresto flea collars?

I don't normally get fleas bad enough to need a flea collar.

Thanks for all the info.

The advantage and the other "spot on" chemicals haven't worked very well.

Comfortis, the pill worked but It was too expensive.

And the sentinel (pill) hasn't worked either.

Capstar works but it's only designed as a kill pill. Kills the fleas and the eggs on the dog, but it won't kill the new ones that hop on after a few days....

But it gives my dogs a week or so of relief so I've used it when it gets real bad.

I'll try the plant pray.

It's on half the ingrediants in the $50 flea collars.

The other half is a pyrethrins isomer....

I've never had a flea problem before like at this house.

My first dog just had a hartz flea collar and he never got fleas.

My husky didn't have a flea collar or anything else and never got fleas.

Two other pets two other houses....

But at this house it' been horrible and I think it's beause the previous owner nuked the yard with sevin(pesticide).

There was a 50lb bag of that in the garage.

I think he bred super-fleas with that.

chuckle

Like my roundup resistant honeysuckle....neighbor keeps spraying it with roundup and it's growing back faster every time he does it.
