The Bigger Danger of Ice Cap Melt off!

1.) All that fresh water diluting the sea water and fish die off.
Salt Water gets colder than fresh water and stores heat and cold better due to the salt.

2.) The Mile High Ice at Poles is like huge weights at each end of the earth.
Melting the ice caps changes the weighting and balance of how the earth spins.
Slosh Effect will cause the spin to wobble more, and this adds to The Poles moving.

So If the Ice Caps are MELTING, This Could lead to things that have not
been talked about or even considered.

The irony of this argument is you think that there isn't evidence.

And in many cases, the evidence is hard to detect.

Oh look, that dock is now 1 inch closer to the water than it was 10 years ago.

Most people won't even recognize that change, even though it has only been 10 years. Even last year to this year, most people won't notice it.

It has to be a significant change. The dock is now completely underwater when it used to be 1 foot above the water.

But that doesn't mean there is sea level rise.

And what you call normal erosion, isn't normal. Rather you need to understand how erosion affects the Dunes and the Berms. While winter storms erode the berm, calmer summer waves generally redeposit sands and rebuild the berm. However, when the berm isn't restored during the summer, it is no longer a normal ebb/flow erosion.

Acting like a 1 inch sea surface rise isn't a problem is similar to buying a house downhill from a river dam with a slight drip. Sure you can ignore it and make jokes, but eventually it is going to f*#k you.

I love near the coast in Florida and there are probably 50,000 homes in a 100 mile radius directly on the ocean or a bay, all with docks and piers. I'm saying, there has been no sea level rise.

I live right on the beach on the west coast of Florida.

If you know what to look for, you can actually see where the water level has risen. As I pointed out, few if any will notice an inch of sea level rise, but if you can find an older sea wall or brackish/salt water canal area with untouched barnacle growth, you can actually see stratification lines that prove there has been a sea level rise over the last 50 years. Punta Gorda Isles is a perfect example where it can be observed.

Increased beach erosion and reclamation projects are also a good form of evidence. While increased building and shore development, tourism and increasing storm frequency are also contributing factors, 50 years ago many Florida beaches still allowed driving until it was demonstrated to increase the rate of degradation.

Remember the old Gillian's Island episode where they thought the island was sinking. The professor would check his measuring stick every day and the water kept getting higher. Well in the end it was Gilligan that was moving the stick to deeper water so he could catch more lobsters.

Don't worry. The ice isn't melting. It's rapidly growing.

You can see the sea of clouds hovering over these rivers .

Its a bit too late to meddle in that subject , be concerned about what has happened
to the gulf stream waters.

Bullshit, it was the 13/14 global warming climate change storm flooding.

Let's see how brave you are facing the widows and orphans of the Boaters Inn disaster on their annual memorial of the sinking. Let's see if you can look them in the eye and be the big man then with your talk of "bullshit".

WTF are you talking about!?

About that terrible night when the Boaters was lost on the incoming tide. This is one of the last pictures, it's a bit small.

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/image...z72JNIWc6C

The met office had been warning that global warming sea level rise was putting attractive riverside pubs with contemporary dining at risk but the owners had arrogantly ignored them.

On that fateful night an extra high spring tide had been travelling rapidly up the river. The boy posted to lookout had been sent to the lounge to collect glasses so they didn't see the wave before until was too late. After the wave broke over roof the landlord ordered the evacuation. The architects had not allowed enough minicab pick up parking as they said it spoiled the look of the pub. In the end there were only enough Ubers to take the women and children.

By this time the cellar was flooded and all the local craft ales had been lost. The kitchen was flooding up to the chefs waist but they bravely stayed at their posts preparing entrées for the men left in the bar. The men were trapped on the patio decking with no hope of escape. They sang Abide With Me accompanied by the dinner jazz stylings of the Dave Roberts quartet. The landlord had strapped himself to the hand pumps and rang the bell for the last time calling "Time at the bar gentlemen, haven't you got homes to go to?" Sadly they hadn't.

When the tide receded all that was left was the pub sign as you can see from the above pictures.

I've lived within 50m of the beach for the last 40 years and this sea level rise is imaginary.

It is pure fiction and I can confirm first hand that it is literally not happening, you are being lied to.

I have been watching a concrete dock in the Indian River, in Titusville, Florida, at the corner of U.S. 1 and route 50 since 1978. Water level has been the same for 41 years.

^^^THIS

Those of us who actually live right on the coastline can confirm that this sea level rise garbage is absolute bullshit.

Sea level rise is total

I have lived on Puget Sound for much of my life and the water is definitely getting higher and more and more beach erosions and landslides are happening from higher sea levels and higher tides.

A section of stairs I used to get to the beach at the local park is now gone and my friends stairs to the beach have completely disintegrated from higher tides and beach erosion.

If the stairs or boat launches wash away completely, you can't get a permit to replace them now, because the county knows they will just wash away again and add more pollution to the bay.

You're a well known liar and misinformation shill when it comes to global warming.

You are just another misinformed greenie with no credibility whatsoever.

No one of us can see if the sea has risen an inch in the last 50 or hundred years, or not.
Especially not in a photo.

The question is dumb, and the answers are made up.

Went under the waves with all hands?

Was it a barge or something?

No, it was a lovely riverside pub but it was swallowed by an incomming tide in 2014 taking everyone with it. Nobody has seen any trace of it since. They do say on a moonless night you can still hear the chinking of glasses.

Could it have washed up in Tahiti and everyone lived happily ever after.
