When I visit relatives that live a stone throw from the beach.
Been walking those shores for many years now.
Apart from the king tides and storms, I have sensed no difference whatsoever.

No, it was a lovely riverside pub but it was swallowed by an incomming tide in 2014 taking everyone with it. Nobody has seen any trace of it since. They do say on a moonless night you can still hear the chinking of glasses.

Could it have washed up in Tahiti and everyone lived happily ever after.

That's a beautiful thought Pinguu, I hope it provides some crumb of comfort to the widows and orphans.

Bullshit, it was the 13/14 global warming climate change storm flooding.

Let's see how brave you are facing the widows and orphans of the Boaters Inn disaster on their annual memorial of the sinking. Let's see if you can look them in the eye and be the big man then with your talk of "bullshit".

You don't really read anything do you.
The floods came from the storms, you know, water falling from the sky, not risingnsea levels.

The UK has been battered by strong winds and lashed by heavy rain in a series of ferocious storms that have barrelled across the Atlantic.

Correct. And as I have stated 3 times in this thread, very few people will notice an inch of sea level rise. Most wouldn't even notice a 2-3 inch sea level rise.

It is a moot argument, because people won't notice.

Take Lake Powell and Lake Mead as a perfect examples. The surface levels dropped, but most people wouldn't notice...except for the very distinctive bleaching of the canyon walls.

Sea Level rise is very similar. Unless you have something distinctive to notice, most people won't notice it. A ladder on a dock. There was once a step right at water level during high tide, and 10 years later, that step is now just under water during high tide. Is it because the sea level has risen, or is it because the dock settled? Or has the wooden ladder been replaced after 10 years of salt water rot?

The only way you can really tell is to make observations on a seawall and measure barnacle age and growth.

Our Beaches Are Starving!

It is not uncommon for Southern California beaches to be missing close to 50% of their historical sand supply. This sediment-starved condition is a result of human impacts to watersheds. Man-made structures such as dams, jetties and breakwaters (forms of coastal armoring) alter the natural flow of sand, which accumulates behind these structures causing erosion of beaches downstream. Urbanization of watersheds traps sediment under hardened surfaces so it no longer flows into the ocean with rainwater run-off. The result is reduced sand supply to beaches and, consequently, loss of beach habitat.

I.e., 'rising sea level' ?

Went under the waves with all hands?

Was it a barge or something?

Well fear not, it's up and running.

You pic does not appear to be photoshopped, was that during a hurricane or seasonal flooding? LOL

The Bigger Danger of Ice Cap Melt off!

1.) All that fresh water diluting the sea water and fish die off.
Salt Water gets colder than fresh water and stores heat and cold better due to the salt.

2.) The Mile High Ice at Poles is like huge weights at each end of the earth.
Melting the ice caps changes the weighting and balance of how the earth spins.
Slosh Effect will cause the spin to wobble more, and this adds to The Poles moving.

So If the Ice Caps are MELTING, This Could lead to things that have not
been talked about or even considered.

Don't worry. The ice isn't melting. It's rapidly growing.

Yes. The arctic ice cap melts and grows regularly.

At the turn of the 20th century, polar expeditions were cancelled because the entire arctic ocean had melted.

A WWII plane was found in Greenland under 300 feet of ice, proving regular melts and ice buildups.

Chicken little has been crying now for 40 years, the sky hasn't fallen yet.

I have lived on Puget Sound for much of my life and the water is definitely getting higher and more and more beach erosions and landslides are happening from higher sea levels and higher tides.

A section of stairs I used to get to the beach at the local park is now gone and my friends stairs to the beach have completely disintegrated from higher tides and beach erosion.

If the stairs or boat launches wash away completely, you can't get a permit to replace them now, because the county knows they will just wash away again and add more pollution to the bay.

How much did the water rise then, I’ll check your math. wouldn’t
want anyone questioning your integrity. If it’s up in the sound it would
be up everywhere. global warming my ass ! But please give us a scare

Global warming is a scam.

There are changes happening.

I've seen two roadkill armadillos in Tulsa County this year.

Those were much farther south when I was a kid.

But the histrionics about sea level rise is intended to bamboozle people into paying taxes of which the REVENUE isn't allocated to doing anything about it.

Changes are happening, got sweet f*ck all to do with humans, and there's nothing we can do about it. I know it's true because the ice in my drink has melted.

We're contributing to it.

I have no doubt about that.

Deforestation. Pavement. Air conditioning makes heat.

But they want to tax us to force us to live with less energy instead of taxing us to plant trees and hemp and do other things to adjust.

Screw that.
