I watched 2 Avengers movies last night (which aren't available on Dutch netflix (yet))

Now I have a hard time finding something else to watch.

Well worth the 1 cent but not going to subscribe..

There is an excellent movie thread one can visit filled with a wide selection of movies for your pleasure.

Me and Silver can set up a pay per view if you like :thumbup

lol

first year is free w verizon unlimited. of course i got it.

So far the Mandalorian has been good.

I also found a star wars rebels animated series i never knew existed. good stuff.

I've got grandkids so I got it for the cartoons and movies.

That's a good deal. Especially if you have (grand)kids.

In the future I will probably subscribe for a month here and there, just like I do now with netflix.

There is plenty of content on Disney+ but most I have seen on netflix already. But I am enjoying my free week lol. The older cartoons are fun too watch too.

Am trying out the free week on Disney Plus (for 1 cent)

Am not impressed. Very little content I haven't seen before on Netflix.

From my understanding there will be less Disney on Netflix in the future, but for now it's not worth 7 euro a month.. imho.

And I love Disney!

For the last ten years of his life I become very close friends with David Tomlinson. He lived about 5 miles away from me and it's a long story how we actually met. When he died I did the music at his funeral and met a lot of stars who were in Disney films.
He told me that when Walt told him at the dinner table that he was making a film about dwarfs his wife whispered to him 'I don't know why, he hates short people' chuckle

Here he is in case you don't know who I mean link to image: https://media.giphy.com/media/dIHNEXpeWLPW0/giphy.gif

No Disney for me, D. I'm into Angry Birds 2. Have you been playing it?

Nope, I am 80% into retro gaming atm and 20% into PS3.

Don't like playing games on my phone much.

I remember you were a big Angry Birds fan years ago so I wondered if you liked the new version now. I prefer the gameplay but I hate having to wait to play now. There's 2,180 levels and I'm a 1/3 of the way through it now. I've only spent .99 cents.

Which D was the one that liked Angry Birds? Was it the Dutch one? We'd all know if the slate wasn't wiped clean here periodically.

RE: Anyone Else Trying Out Disney Plus?
I considered it just to watch the Mandalorian,

But, when I learned that the entire series season would not be released at once, I severely changed my mind.

If that is an example of how Disney will run their service, I will likely avoid it until there is a backlog of original programming to binge.

The HBO streaming service offers an entire library of original programming as well as their current programs added weekly.

With Disney's access to multiple libraries, a slightly higher cost with full access would have been better. Even a planned staggering of material would have been a great selling feature.

Disney's Current Film/Television Libraries include:

Walt Disney Pictures film library
DisneyToon Studios film library
Pixar Animation Studios library
Walt Disney Television library
Disney Channel Original Shows
Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior original series
Toon Disney/Disney XD original shows
Walt Disney Television Animation library
Jetix Animation Concepts library
The Disney Afternoon and other early syndicated shows
Touchstone Pictures film library
ABC Studios/Touchstone Television library
Disneynature library
Walt Disney’s True-Life Adventures documentary films
Marvel Entertainment library (acquisition of the company in 2009)
Marvel Animation library
Marvel Animated Features library
Marvel Anime series
Marvel Universe on Disney XD
Disney XD Original Movies film library
Disney live-action films
adaptation of animated features
theme park attraction film library
Caravan Pictures film library
ABC Motion Pictures library
ABC Pictures International library
Selmur Productions/Pictures library
Saban/BVS Entertainment library
Fox Kids / Fox Children’s Productions library (with some exceptions like Bobby’s World)
DePatie-Freleng Enterprises / Marvel Productions, Ltd. library (Excluding co-Productions)
Marvel Films Animation / New World Animation library
Palomar Pictures International library
Lucasfilm Ltd. film and television library (the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises)
Lucasfilm Animation library
ABC Circle Films library (Due to Disney’s acquisition of ABC in 1996, the company and its library were absorbed into Touchstone Television)
Post-1973 ABC Films library (Majority of the pre-1973 backlog that Worldvision previously owned are handled by CBS Paramount Television through Spelling Entertainment Group)
Movie of the Week TV telemovies
Greengrass Productions library
Valleycrest Productions
ABC Stations/Live Well Network productions
Fox Family Channel/ABC Family/Freeform original programming library
SOAPNet Originals library
ABC Productions library
ABC Pictures telefilms
ABC/Kane Productions documentary library
Lincoln Square Productions library
A&E Networks library
The History Channel Originals library
History International/H2/Viceland original programming library
The Biography Channel original series library
Biography library
A+E Studios
A+E films
A&E IndieFilms
Lifetime Entertainment Services original productions
The Muppets Studio library
Jim Henson Productions film and television library related to The Muppets franchise (including The Muppet Show, Muppet Babies (both original and revival series) and Little Muppet Monsters)
20th Century Fox library
Fox Searchlight Pictures library
Blue Sky Studios library
20th Century Fox Television library

And now that Disney completely owns Hulu as well, there is no reason why they can't make the content available.

Was trying to buy a year for my grandson. Could not get an answer from Disney how to do this and thank goodness I didn't. Youngest son sent me this article last night.

Disney was hacked. Might wanna keep an eye on things for awhile. Hugs

That's what I was gonna say. It seems like nobody here cares anyway as it's like there's some kinda hackin goin on all the time. I don't care as I'll never sign up for disney cause there is absolutely nothin I just have to see from disney for free OR 1 cent.

Squirrel

Not much there for me as well but for a six year old (grandson) it is gold. I was super excited to get it for grandson for Christmas, but I could not find a way to do a gift subscription. Apparently they are not set up for that yet. Anyway, this is how I ended up not signing up and thank goodness for that.

Yeah this year has been terrible for hacking. Worst I have ever seen.

Yeah I had read that. Registered with an new email address and I never use the same password twice. But going to cancel anyways and even if they charge my bank account, I can just let the bank return it, so not too worried..

Heartflowers

That's a wise way to do that. I envisioned myself fighting with my credit card company for hours, which is usually what happens anyway. Here with banks, you are guilty before proven innocent. It's exhausting. Scream1

RE: Anyone Else Trying Out Disney Plus?
I understand there might be some FOX and Star Wars content I might be interested in. It's probably not worth the expensive though. If it's any good, it will be released on disc and I'll buy it then. I don't like the quality of most internet steamed video, it can be most annoying when you don't want it to be annoying. And because my location can suddenly change, I usually only have cellular internet access. While it's almost always fast enough for streaming video (because it's not Blu-ray quality), even unlimited cellular plans have a limit. And I don't like watching commercial interrupted programs. I buy everything I like to watch on disc, so I'm usually a season behind on what I do watch. I.E. I'm waiting for Star Trek Orville season 2 and Family Guy season 17 disc which will be released in early December, the 10th according to expected Amazon delivery date to my front door. I can wait for the discs. TV stuff is not that important. If it's worth watching, it will come out on discs.
