I believe it was a test to show the American citizens that the government has the ability to shutdown cellphones and the internet at any given moment, regardless of the freedoms that we THINK we have.

Just my opinion...

Thoughts??

There is no need for a "presidential alert", heard from NY to Hawaii. The only relevant thing "the president" could say at that scale is that: "1000 nukes are heading at us, bend down and kiss your ass goodbye."

RE: Emergency Notification Conspiracy
Given where the world is heading it also seems a prudent approach, the UK dropped it's emergency warning systems in favour of this approach decades ago.... however it has not tested it in any meaningful way..

The question would be what practical reason to test it now would be the threat of conflict and it is worth looking at the era from the 1870s-great war to see how we are following a very similar path, a great depression undermining the various political/economic/military landscapes that led to the downfall of the globalism of the day during the 2nd industrial revolution that in turn led to a fracturing of the Western world which in turn led governments to seek advantages over each other that ended in the war we know as the Great War...

Great Depressions akin to the one of 2008 tend fracture the balance of power, to shake up the political order and in turn tend to lead to Great Wars... and the reshaping of alliances around the world seems to indicate that is the direction we are also heading in.

Why do they do drills daddy? Practice for what?

Like school drills condition for future use and to desensitize with current unfamiliar environments. Police presence, metal detectors, etc.

What I found out is that there's chips inside every phone called E911 chips that have the ability to access the camera, logs, microphone, it can essentially take full control over the phones like a built in trojan.
While I don't trust the government I don't trust most major corporations even more. Google has direct access to these on every Android phone without any user agreements. Also just by downloading the Chrome browser on any other phone without the Android OS you are agreeing to let it have access to that chip.
My question is why would the Google browser demand access to it on an Apple phone?

It is probably similar, if not the same as the ones now in debit cards.
I had one of the older ones that didn't have it, and it was good until 2020, but they shut it off. They wanted me to use the new chip one that slides in sideways.
I opted to use checks instead and they put a hold on that. And when I called the bank to ask why, she said, the banks are being told to encourage and sign up account holders to the new chip accounts. We had a conversation about that and the ramifications for any card that can be "shut off" for any arbitrary reason.
