I use a Gillette safety razor, it is from 1968/69 production line. Its current value (without being refurbished) is around $500 (USD).

I bought a life time of razor blades a decade or so ago. And at age 51 with failing health I suspect that I will die before the blades run out.

The disposable razor era is a terrible one. it costs the average male ten times the amount to shave than it did in the safety razor era. Which ended up costing the the average male ten times the amounts a straight razor did.
