Why do you think McAfee are doing this now?

Turned from the dark side to the White? Time will tell.

Dunno, maybe if you have a really old one.

Quote:As with previous Intel processors (such as the 8088, Banias, Dothan, Conroe, Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Skylake), Kaby Lake's development was led by Intel's Israeli team, based in Haifa.[16] Intel Israel Development Center.

IOW Israel 0wn3s encryption through hardware backdoors... at least on Intel.
But, uh, espionage aside.

Easy to hide anything you want in a chip mask.

Especially with a firmware allowing TCP/IP control.

Yep.

Stick with an i5 early if possible or AMD.

If not, virtualize the sh*t out of it.

If I were managing internal security for any nation, I would be very concerned about Intel ME firmware. Since Israel owns the United States, anyway, I guess there is nothing to be concerned about here.... but Russia on the other hand...

It's about profits, not boundaries. We all know Israel runs the USA, via the UK.

It's pretty ingenious actually, send all encryption to HARDWARE, then place a hardware backdoor to access it. Transcends all software espionage tools. KWIM.

It's done from the chip, the user is oblivious to it.

I'm pretty sure the USS Liberty was just a warning to the US Deep State. So no fears of espionage here. I'm sure our Intelligence Services welcome it with open arms.

What's ours is Israels, and what's Israels, is Israel's.
It's a cozy relationsh
