Closed all week.

You do know this is going to crush the markets. Next week is going to be rough.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The federal government was expected to remain partially shut down past Christmas as the standoff deepened Saturday over President Donald Trump’s demand for funds to build a border wall with Mexico.

With Trump’s insistence on $5 billion for the wall and negotiations with Democrats in Congress far from a breakthrough, even a temporary measure to keep the government running while talks continued seemed out of reach until the Senate returned for a full session Thursday.

From coast to coast, the first day of the shutdown played out in uneven ways. The Statue of Liberty was still open for tours, thanks to funding from New York state, and the U.S. Post Office was still delivering mail, as an independent agency.

RE: Closed all week.
So they are taking a long vacation.

'Very possible' US shutdown goes into 2019.

(CNN)President Donald Trump's incoming acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said the partial government shutdown could continue into next year.
"It is very possible that the shutdown will go beyond the 28th and into the new Congress," Mulvaney said on "Fox News Sunday" as the shutdown began its second day.
After Trump and Congress failed to resolve a dispute over funding for border security and Trump's border wall on Friday, the government went into partial shutdown. Mulvaney said Sunday morning that the White House had moved down from its demand for $5 billion and hoped Democrats would move up from their offer for $1.3 billion in border security funding.

Mulvaney's comments came after the Senate adjourned on Saturday, which meant the shutdown would likely continue past Christmas.
In an interview on ABC's "This Week," Mulvaney said Trump remained steadfast in his demand for wall funding.

Congress was first to put itself on the budget for 2019 - sadly they are funded and will get paid :(
Maybe Trump can stop that

Most likely. Since October 10th anytime futures closed higher than DOW the next day DOW lost points. On Friday futures closed at -590 and DOW closed at -414 almost a 200 point difference. Lets see how Nikkei and Hang Seng perform tonight.

I will watch the Asian markets but futures for DOW basically don´t mean anything anymore with these wild swings that take place every 5 minutes. If it starts negative tomorrow and it passes the 11.33am mark without making a comeback, it will most likely lose over 400 points again. It has done that for the past two weeks.
